The February Edition of Paper Pumpkin was a fun and frivolous collection of colors, designer papers, envelopes and ephemera. Opening my box, I determined to fashion cards with interactive and alternative designs. The kit composed of supplies for 9 cards and 9 envelopes which were color-coordinated to enhance the completed cards. The coordinating Stampin' Up® Colors for this month's project were: Fresh Freesia, Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Succulent and Soft Suede.
In building the alternate designs for each card, I used coordinating cardstock, Matte Decorative Dots (#156289) and a doily from Square Vellum Doilies (#152484). I also used a motion Wobble® component (not Stampin Up product) and a small Resin Cupcake studded with a sparkle gem.
This project ended up being a successful challenge, making cards with interactive pieces which would offer a surprise for the recipient. I targeted five of the nine cards to give to Grandchildren in my family at the end of the school year. These cards will hold a gift card, congratulating them on the end of a school year well-done. I also fashioned a few cards with Birthday sentiments.
